Louisic Delbecco has been Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s Principal Harpist since July 2024 and solo harpist of the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra since August 2023.
She has also performed extensively in Europe as a soloist as well as with several orchestras and ensembles, including the Hamburg Staatsoper, the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Deutsches Symphonie Orchestra Berlin (DSO), the Bremer Philharmoniker Orchestra, St Gallen Symphony Orchestra, Switzerland and Ensemble Resonanz. In 2018, she toured Japan as First Harpist with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra.
Louisic is a prize-winner of several international competitions including 1st Prize in the French Limoges Competition 2011, 2nd prize in the Leopold Bellan International Competition in Paris 2017, and 3rd Prize at the Porto International Harp Competition in 2017.
In 2019, Louisic obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in Hamburg, in the class of Xavierde Maistre, a Master’s degree in Würzburg studying with Andreas Mildner in 2022 and a Masters degree in Chamber Music in Hamburg in February 2024. She was a member of the Orchestra Academy of the Hamburg Philharmonic Orchestra in 2022-2023.
Christina Leonard Christina Leonard, saxophone
Christina Leonard is one of Australia’s leading saxophonists. She has performed both nationally and internationally and has been a featured player with the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Opera Australia Orchestra, Australian Chamber Orchestra, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra and the Australian World Orchestra for many years.
She has made many recordings and live broadcasts for both ABC Classic and Fine Music and has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician at many national music festivals and on many solo and ensemble CD recordings. At the Four Winds Festival 2019, Christina performed in the premiere of “Mulga Bills Bicycle” a children’s show that she co-wrote with Elena Kats-Chernin AO. 2020 saw the premiere of “The Bremen Bunch” a children’s show written for the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra.
Christina has directed the AWO Chamber Music in the Southern Highlands Festival, and has programmed and presented many chamber music concerts for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
Christina is a passionate educator, having taught at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music for 24 years and was an AMEB Senior Examiner for 25 years. Her publications appear on both the AMEB and the ABRSM syllabi.
Christina was the first Australian to be endorsed as an International Artist with Japanese instrument maker Yanagisawa.
